Shark attack

It was all about sharks in our last session: starting with the beloved "Baby shark" action song, followed by not one, but two shark stories ("Smiley Shark" and "A shark in the park") each of the pre-school children coloured a shark in and - more importantly - gave him back its teeth! :)

Don't we all love pasta?

Our latest session started with the story "Spaghetti with the Yeti" followed by pasta time! The children of our kindergarten group prepared lovely necklaces and beautiful picture frames.

Where do we live?

This week we read "If you give a moose a muffin" which is part of a series that we know and love already. The children made their own origami houses. After decorating them, we made a street map of where we live. Gonsenheim, being our base for English Explorers, is in the centre of the map!

This little piggy...

Today we used a delightful way to introduce a nursery rhyme to children:

After listening to the story about the little pigs, the task of cutting, gluing and colouring a foot and the little piggies helps the children to memorize the following famous nursery rhyme:

This little piggy went to the market,
this little piggy stayed at home,
this little piggy had roast beef for dinner,
this little piggy had none and
this little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home!

Sea creatures

After listening to the delightful story of "Tiddler - the story telling fish" the children made their own sea creatures - like these two squibs.
